A ¥13,200 Time Crisis console ships a hardcoded AES key, no secure boot, and a licensed Namco arcade emulator. The gun is a second Linux computer with an NPU and a root shell on a header.

Bought an Open Source Cartridge Reader in Akihabara. It had no macOS or Android UI — so I forked the firmware and built native companions that stream ROMs over USB and launch an emulator.
